Tap the Lost & Found symbol located on the desktop to open the lost & found list. A list of lost & found items will appear.
In the upper right corner of every entry you can see whether the item was lost or found.
In the toolbar, you can decide whether to view all entries or just the ones you added. The option selected is crossed out.
Note: To quickly get to the top of the list, tap twice (like a double click) on the status bar of your iPod or iPhone. The status bar (red-framed in the screenshot below) is the black bar where the time is also shown. By using this function, you can also quickly switch to the search bar. When you drag the screen from the top of the list downward with your finger, a search bar will appear. |
Tap the button in the upper left corner to view the list options. Here you can define how the list is to be sorted and also filter for certain entries.
In the upper part you can sort the list. First select the information according to which you want to sort the list and then define whether you want to sort in ascending or descending order.
In lower part you can apply filters to the list. Tap "Status" to filter by a specific status. Choose the desired statuses or use the [None] or [All] buttons.
Afterwards, tap on [Apply] to get back to your sorted and filtered list.
Back in the list options overview, you can apply sorting and filters to the list once or save them too permanently. With the button [Apply] you apply the options once to the list; as soon as you switch to the desktop and reload the list from there, the options are reset.
However, if you first tap [Save] at the bottom right and then accept the values, the options for this app user will remain saved and will also be available for the next login. The saved settings will only be lost if someone clears the app's
cache on the device.
If you’re looking for a certain item in the list, use the search field in the upper part of the list.
Enter the room number, the name of the guest or a keyword from the description into the search field. Then the list will only show matching entries.
Use the [New] button to add a new Lost & Found item.
Tap this button and an input screen will open.
Tap on the "Room" line and a selection menu will open. Select the appropriate room number.
If you tap on the "Guest" line, you can search for the corresponding guest file. You can search by ID, name, first name, email or city. Enter one or more of the search criteria and tap [Start search].
The corresponding files will now be displayed and you can select them. Confirm with [Select] in the lower area.
Then enter a title of the item found (or lost) and a description.
Should your employee be using a language different to the system language, you can additionally enter a local descriptive text. If possible, also add an image of the item.
Once you’re finished, tap [Create] in the upper right corner.
From the Lost & Found list, you can open the detailed view of a Lost & Found item.
Tap the symbol for the detailed view and all the information about the Lost & Found item will appear. If you tap [Edit], you can change the description and the state, as well as the place it has been found and the corresponding guest.
For example, if you’ve found a lost item, you can change the state to “Found”. Once you’ve made the change, tap [Save].
This way, you can edit all Lost & Found items, and the employees in the front office have up-to-date information about whether lost items have been found from the Lost & Found list in protel Air.
